The controversy over Ntr Statue, to be unveiled in Parliament on Tuesday is taking new turns and twists and has put TDP in a fix.

Union minister and NTR daughter Purandeswari said that an invitation was sent to TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneshwari. The TDP is unable to decide whether to attend the function or to abstain from it.

Either way, TDP stands to lose.

It cannot attend the function as NTR has floated TDP as an anti-Congress plank and the statue is being unveiled by the Congress Government. There are allegations that Naidu had usurped the party and chief minister post from NTR.

More than that Purandeshwari is with Congress and the credit will go to her while TDP stands to lose on this count as well.

Meanwhile, State MPs Lagadapati Rajagopal, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, SAi Prathap, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy and others urged Congress President Sonia Gandhi not to attend the statue unveiling ceremony to be held on Tuesday as NTR floated TDP to Congress and he was against the party.

NTR widow Lakshmi Parvathi said she did not get an invite for the event and blamed Union Minister D Purandeswari for keeping her away from the event.
