Tirupathi, July 25 :-

 Kurukshetra Member of Parliament and noted Industrialist from Jindal Group Navin Jindal on Saturday presented a gold discuss (Sudarshan Chakram) and conch(Sankam), estimated to be worth Rs 45 lakh to the famous Lord  Venkateswara temple at Tirupati.

Navin Jindal, who runs the rail & steel and power businesses of the Jindal Group, the fourth largest private sector Indian business group by assets and sales turnover. The Jindal group was founded by his father O P Jindal.

He refused to publicly divulge the value of the discuss and conch but it is estimated to be Rs 45 lakh. Both discuss and conch weighs 2 kg. He handed over these gold ornaments to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthnam officials.

The Tirumala temple is considered the richest in the world. It owns huge contributions of precious ornaments and jewels made by previous dynasties and the present day entrepreneurs.

The temple, reportedly, owns 11 tonnes of gold ornaments. However, the TTD does not reveal the exact figures due to security reasons.
