Vishwak Sen Wont Budge Down

Vishwak Sen upcoming film Cult is set to hit theatres on October 30, 2026, despite a clash with Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas’ Aadarsha Kutumbam. While several films have reportedly moved away from the date, Cult is sticking to its planned release, making the box office competition more interesting for Telugu cinema fans.
Cult is a special project for Vishwak Sen, as he has taken charge as the lead actor, director and writer. The film is being promoted as a slasher thriller, a genre that is still relatively uncommon in mainstream Telugu cinema. Ravi Basrur, known for his background scores and music, has composed the film’s soundtrack.
The release date has become a talking point after other films reportedly shifted their plans following Aadarsha Kutumbam’s announcement. Emo Emo Idi and Itlu Arjuna have moved away from October 30, according to reports. Cult, however, is continuing with its schedule, showing the team’s confidence in its content and target audience.
Aadarsha Kutumbam is expected to appeal to family audiences, while Cult is aimed at viewers who enjoy dark thrillers and intense stories. Sci-fi action film Killer is also scheduled for October 30, with premieres reportedly planned for October 29. With three films arriving around the same time, audience interest, theatre availability and word of mouth could shape their box office performance.
