Endowments Minister C Ramchandraiah on Wednesday condemned TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for criticising Union Toursim Minister K Chiranjeevi and erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party.

Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office, Ramchandraiah criticisied Naidu for dubbing Congress-PRP merger as 'Social Betrayal'. He said if Congress-PRP merger was 'Social Betrayal' then would Naidu define the episode of him snatching power from his father-in-law NT Rama Rao.

Speaking about Naidu's promises, Ramchandraiah said that Naidu was proving himself to be a copycat by trying to take credit of every successful scheme of the Congress party. He said making mere promises during the padayatra was not sufficient and Naidu would have to include all the promises in his party's manifesto.

Ramchandraiah said that the cash transfer scheme, which would be launched in 50 districts on pilot basis, would help the poor masses. However, he said Naidu has been criticising the scheme for his own political gains. Similarly, he said Congress party has been giving free power to farmers since 2004. However, Naidu scrapped the free power scheme while he was in power. He said it was Rajiv Gandhi who brought IT Revolution in the country, but Naidu was falsely taking credit for IT revolution in Hyderabad. Similarly, DWCRA schemes were initiated by PV Narasimha Rao and presently Naidu has been staking claim on the same.

The Minister also described former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy as one of the most corrupt chief minister in the State. He said the erstwhile PRP rejected his offer of merger with the Congress due to his corrupt practices. However, when the PRP got an invite from Sonia Gandhi, it was accepted.
