TRS alleges T-discrimination in milk procurement

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday accused the State Government showing discrimination against Telangana region in procurement of milk.

Talking to reporters after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the State Secretariat, TRS Deputy Floor T Harish Rao, MLAs Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Enugu Ravinder Reddy  told reporters that they informed the Chief Minister that the TRS would not tolerate any injustice to Telangana region. They asked the Chief Minister to roll back its decision of stopping milk procurement for three days in a month in the Telangana region.

The TRS leaders alleged that a few companies including Heritage, owned by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu's family, have colluded to reduce the milk procurement rate by two rupees. However, the decrease in rates was not passed on the consumers.

Requesting the Chief Minister to take immediate measures, the TRS leaders warned that they would stop milk tankers coming from the Seemandhra region if the problems being faced milk producers of Telangana region were not resolved.
