JC dismisses Jagan's conspiracy theory

Condemning the remarks of Ysr Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy that the State Government, Congress, TDP and CBI have hatched a conspiracy to arrest him, former Congress minister J C Diwakar Reddy stated that the Congress party and their leadership have no connection with the disproportionate assets case pending against Jagan.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that the CBI has been investigating disproportionate assets case on the directions of AP High Court. Responding to Jagan group's threats that the State would face law and order issue if Jagan was arrested, he said that the police would not spare anyone who takes law into their hand. “The police will sternly deal with the perpetrators of violence," he said.

Stating no conspiracy has been hatched by the Congress party to arrest Jagan, he said that there was no need for the Congress to stoop to such level and asked him to effectively counter the charges against him in a court of law instead of resorting to dirty gimmicks to get mileage in the by-elections.

Diwakar Reddy said that he would participate in the by-election campaign in Allagadda Assembly constituency following request by the Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana. He expressed confidence that the Congress would win in the majority of constituencies in the by-elections.
