Harish Rao accused the Congress party of misleading the people on the Telangana issue. He recalled that Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad announced that Telangana issue would be resolved after Bakrid festival. However, he said the decision on the statehood has been kept in abeyance for one or the other reason.

Etala also criticised Speaker Nandendla Manohar for giving special recognition to Praja Rajyam Party in the House despite its merger with the Congress party. He said the move was aimed at suppressing the privileges and rights of opposition parties. On the other side, the Speaker has been delaying the decision against rebel Congress MLAs who openly violated whip in favour of YSR Congress party. He alleged that the Speaker was providing the Congress party sufficient time and opportunity to win back rebel MLAs.

The Trs floor leader also alleged that irregularities have taken place in the modernisation of assembly's building and demanded an enquiry.
