When will the makers pick the missing magic in Telugu movies
Of late, Telugu films are missing the magic, and this is the reason why people are getting disconnected from the films and are staying away from the theatres. Many are of the opinion that the makers have forgotten their strong point, running after the craze of other films.
A few days back, movie lovers were treated to films that had beautiful love stories, family entertainers that are loaded with emotions connecting the chords with all sections. In the pan-India craze, Telugu directors are concentrating on mass entertainers and action flicks.
Gone are the days when films like Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Naku Nachchav, Nuvve Nuvve, Manasantha Nuvve, Saantosham and Manmadhutu. These kinds of films do not require action sequences and huge budgets. A beautiful story, romantic elements, natural humour and family emotions endeared them to movie lovers and made them enjoy them in the theatres.
Even now, movie lovers appreciate such films. Sandeep Vanga's Arjun Reddy, Hanu Raghavapudi's Sitha Ramam turned out to be hits. But all these films did not release on a pan-India level, but they got dubbed and turned out to be big hits. Instead of remaking, it is better to release such films that have emotional appeal across the country. However, one is left wondering why the makers are not daring to release such films across the world.
All industries are concentrating on mass and action films. Feel-good romantic entertainers and family entertainers are becoming a rarity. So Tollywood filmmakers should recognise their strength and come up with such films.
