T-TDP hails KCR's proposed fast

Telugu Desam Party's Telangana Forum on Tuesday hailed the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s proposed  indefinite fast from October 2 for the cause of Telangana statehood.

Talking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan,   MLA Motkupalli Narasimhulu said that KCR has once again taken a historic decision for the statehood and the people of region would definitely hail it. Stating the Telangana state would be formed only through commitment and by mounting pressure through observing agitations and strikes, he hoped the Centre would take a decision on Telangana state soon.

“The Telangana state could be formed only with sacrifices of leaders,” he said adding that if the TRS chief sits in fast the Centre would definitely bow down to pressure and announce a decision on Telangana state.

When the reporters suspected commitment of KCR for Telangana state, he said the people of region would look into it and teach a fitting lesson to him if he cheats them on statehood. Stating that the TDP has its own agenda and strategy, he asked why the all political parties were keeping their agenda and flag aside to fight for the cause of separate statehood.

Condemning police action on Nizam College and Osmania university students, he warned the government of serious consequences if it fails to mend its attitude.
