Seemandhra leaders seek protection for all from T-activists

Demanding protection to the lives of people coming from different regions, Seemandhra Congress leaders on Friday condemned the ransacking of High Court premises by Telangana advocates.

The Seemandhra leaders under the leadership of Government whip S Sailajanath met the Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy at the Secretariat seeking protection to the lives of people after convening a meeting at Assembly Hall.

They urged the Minister to protect the lives of Seemandhra leaders in the wake of Telangana leaders resorting to physical attacks. They also brought the attack on convoy of Industries Minister Shilpa Mohan Reddy with eggs in Telangana region before the Minister.

The Minister assured the Seemandhra leaders to look into the issue and initiate action against guilty.

Later the Seemandhra leaders met Information, Broadcasting and Public Relations Minister J Geetha Reddy and asked her to hold dialogue with all regional leaders before taking any decision on the implementation of 42 job quota for Telanganites.

They also sought action against Telangana Joint action committee leader Prof Kodandaram for making inflammatory speeches and provoking people.

The Minister assured the Seemandhra leaders that she would look into their demands.

Meanwhile MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy alleged that the Telangana leaders are resorting to blackmail tactics before the submission of the Sri Krishna Commission report.

He demanded the government to act according to the constitution against the agitating Telangana lawyers.
