Taapsee Pannu’s latest movie ‘Naam Shabana’ in Shivam Nair direction co-starring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Prithiviraj and several others will have a worldwide release on March 31. Exhibiting the confidence, special premieres of the film are screened in various cities including Hyderabad.
‘Naam Shabana’ is the story of an ordinary girl from a middle class family Shabana who becomes a spy. After ‘Baby’, Shivam and Neeraj Pandey discussed the possibility of giving Shabana a background and this film became a reality because Taapsee’s character in ‘Baby’ though very small but was really good.
‘In ‘Baby,’ my character was small and had just a screen space of around 15 minutes. So it wasn’t easy to make an entire new film on such a small character. But now when I see ‘Naam Shabana,’ I am thrilled because it is a big deal when a heroine takes hero’s and carries a film. This isn’t a prequel but is an in-depth spinoff of a character and very new for Indian cinema. I got trained in martial arts for this film and not easy to play a spy,’ Taapsee said.
