Gurdaspur Terror Attack, 12 Killed

As per National media news coverage, at least 12 people are declared dead including 7 policemen, 3 civilians and 2 convicts in the terrorists attack at Gurdaspur in Punjab near the border with Pakistan. At early morning 5:30 AM, nearly four terrorists wearing Army uniforms entered on the main road near Dinanagar Bus Stand killed a roadside food stall owner. Then they brutally began firing on a Jammu bound Punjab Roadways Corporation bus.

Later, terrorists injured a driver in Maruti 800 vehicle and ran away with car killing two police men at Dinanagar police station. When security forces exchanged fires, three patients in adjacent hospital were killed on spot. Now, these terrorists are hiding inside a portion of Police Station and firing at the police. According to latest reports, Gurdaspur Superintendent of Police Baljit Singh has been killed in this attack. Police detonated five live bombs on Dinanagar-Pathankot Railway track.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh are in talks with Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal taking update of situation. A special cell from Delhi Police is sent to Gurdaspur for bringing the situation under control. While two terrorists are suspected to have been killed, two more are proving to be dangerous. One of them is a female.
