Shekhar Kammula to act in “Leader”?

Shekhar Kammula is one such personality in Tollywood who has a heart to react and respond for happenings around the society. Few of the Directors in the World have that sense of portraying their feelings about what they see in the society. Normally these kinds of characters are seen in Novels and Kathanika’s where writer try to eject his feelings on the social problems through a character in that Novel or Kathanika. The perfectionist in this art is Gurajada Appa Rao.

Off late many Directors in Tollywood like Krishna Vamshi, Krish and Shekhar Kammula are traveling in this path. If the roles of Ileana and Suhasini are observed in “Rakhi”, they speak out exactly what Krishna Vamshi thinks about the problems faced by women in the society and there solutions. The same happened with Krish in “Gamyam” where Rao Ramesh’s character speaks more about awareness towards social happenings. In case of Shekhar Kammula, Kamilini Mukherjee’s character in “Anand” and “Godavari” portray his feelings on self character of women aptly.

Strictly speaking, as Directors can’t act they make few peculiar characters in the movie and make them speak what these Directors really want to convey the society. That means indirectly these directors act through those characters.

In upcoming release “Leader”, who will be the mirror image of Shekhar Kammula or which character does Shekhar Kammula select to spill his feelings is a well discussed topic in movie intellectuals.
