High Court Advocate Nagurbabu N has once again demonstrated his commitment to securing justice for victims of financial fraud through persistent legal action. His relentless pursuit of justice led to the arrest of K. Lakshmikanth Reddy, an accused with multiple criminal cases and producer of the upcoming film "LAFOOT GANG," in connection with an alleged ₹2.21 crore gold investment scam. Following his arrest by the Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, the accused was produced before the XII Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nampally, which remanded him to 15 days of judicial custody for further investigation.The case originated from a complaint lodged by Mr. Rakesh Balaram Goud, who alleged that he was induced to invest ₹2.21 crore after being promised the supply of 24-carat gold biscuits at prices substantially below the prevailing market value. According to the complaint, after collecting the investment amount, the accused failed to supply the promised gold or refund the money. Instead, when repayment was demanded, the complainant alleged that he was subjected to intimidation, threats, and coercion. When the initial complaint failed to receive effective action, Advocate Nagurbabu N approached the Telangana High Court by filing Writ Petition No. 4220 of 2026, seeking judicial intervention. During the proceedings, it was brought to the notice of the Court that, considering the magnitude of the alleged cheating involving ₹2.21 crore, the matter had been entrusted to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, for a comprehensive investigation. The High Court proceedings ensured that the investigation was handled by a specialised agency experienced in dealing with complex economic offences. Acting on the investigation, the CCS registered Crime No. 147/2026 under Sections 111(2)(b), 111(3), 111(4), 318(4), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.Investigators collected documentary and electronic evidence, examined witnesses, and recorded detailed statements before arresting the accused on 27 July 2026. According to the remand report submitted before the Court, custodial interrogation is essential to trace the money trail, identify other persons involved, recover the proceeds of crime, and investigate the organised nature of the alleged fraudulent operation.The remand report further states that the accused allegedly operated a fraudulent gold investment scheme by falsely claiming access to imported gold at discounted prices while promising extraordinary short-term retums. Investigators have also referred to allegations that victims who sought repayment were threatened and intimidated. Based on the evidence collected so far, the investigating agency is examining whether the offence forms part of a larger organised criminal network.Significantly, the remand report also records that K. Lakshmikanth Reddy has been involved in six earlier criminal cases registered at various police stations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, namely: 1. Crime No. 189/2021 Mahankali Police Station, Hyderabad. 2. Crime No. 728/2022 - Raidurgam Police Station, Cyberabad. 3. Crime No. 1049/2023 – ΚΡHB Colony Police Station, Cyberabad. 4. Crime No. 1390/2023 Madhapur Police Station, Cyberabad. 5. Crime No. 122/2024 - Koilkonda Police Station, Mahabubnagar. 6. Crime No. 411/2025-Pendurthi Police Station, Visakhapatnam.With the registration of the present Crime No.147/2026, the accused is now facing seven criminal cases in total. The investigating agency has relied upon this criminal history while opposing bail and seeking judicial custody, contending that the accused is likely to continue committing similar offences if released and that further custodial investigation is necessary to uncover the full extent of the alleged organised economic crime. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. Many characters and their relations are not established properly and also there are many illogical scenes and convenient episodes.The background score of Anil Chiluvuru is good. He tried to entertain movie lovers with a breezy romantic entertainer and drew inspiration from Atharvaa's father Murali's classic Hrudyam. The narration starts with the introduction of Atharvaa's character through Fahad Faasil's voice over and his personality and his thought process.Fahad Faasil highlights the mood of the viewers with his oneliners quite aptly while the narration got the hilarious touch with the actor &nbsp;Sudhakar. Fahad Faasil not only entertains but also mocks the character of Atharvaa and also the film's screenplay to leave all amused.But except for the two characters the film offers nothing new or exciting and turns out to be a tedious watch. The narration is stretched and screenplay is dragged to the core on a small point that hero cannot express his feelings for more than two and half hours.The film's convenient narration with Priety Mukhundhan's character disappearing surprisingly disappoints all. The convenient screenplay results in various characters appearing and disappearing as per the whims and fancies ot the director. The story offers nothing new and it is dragged completely with the pre decided runtime. To the top of it,the lead character not undergoing any transformation for almost 90% of the film tests the patience of the viewers.Director spent most of the time, highlighting the relationship between the lead character and his uncle and the girls in his life and in turn misses the emotional connection completely.The cinematography of Manoj Paramahansa showed the scenes in a natural and appealing manner. Thaman's songs failed to impress and it would have been better had the makers done away with them. His background music is just ok. The editing of &nbsp;Pradeep E Ragav left a lot to be desired. He decided to thrill the views with money heist story. The story revolves around robberies and scams. He managed to excite all with the thrilling elements with the scenes before and after the robberies. He highlighted how the opinions of people and middle class family changes in the backdrop of money heist.Interest levels increase with the starting scene of the bank robbery which takes viewers into the story. However later the introduction of characters slowed the pace of the narration. But the twists and turns involving the lead character and others and the negative shades increases the curiosity levels. The police investigation and others in the first half brings and end setting the tone for the exciting second half.However, the second half goes for a toss with the hero kidnap scene and various sub plots. While the first half is natural, the second half had shades of artificiality and illogical scenes. Couple of scenes in the second half turns it into a decent one.Ramess' Editing could have been far better as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the film especially in the second half. Cinematography showed the scenes in a natural and realistic manner and Dinesh Purushottaman followed the standard template and took viewers into the story. JakesBejoy's background score is in sync with the story and he managed to keep the scenes the intensity levels intact. The hero's elevations and the rest of the characters revolving around him just seems to be inspired from other hit commercial films. The entire first half turns out to be outdated to the core and viewers will be expecting a better second half at the interval.The second half starts with a couple of twists and generates interest. However, the missing emotions and the weak characterizations marred the intensity and impact power. The pre climax and climax turns out to be ok with the so-called twists. Dialogues are just average.Thaman's tunes for the songs are just ok. None of them get registered in the minds of the viewers except for the song VaareVaa VaareVaa. The story offered nothing new as many films came in the recent past highlighting the power of God and how ultimately he eliminates the evil forces who try to wreak havoc to posses the supreme powers.Films like Mirai and Hanuman turned out to be hits and of late many filmmakers are trying to milk people's interest in Sanatana Dharma and the secrets with dialogues pertaining to them but most of them are failing in their mission. If mythological and elements on God in a story comes naturally then it will connect chords with the people. However, all the so called Sanatana elements are forced and this ends up testing the patience of the viewers.Nagabandham also fell in the second category unfortunately. There is no clarity how the hero became the protector of the all powerful Brahma Kamalam right from the first half. The film lacked the drive and direction and it drifted in various directions and the screenplay turned out to be topsy turvy. Emotions play a key role in the films and the film lacked them completely. Only when emotions are strong and realistic, natural, it will help in taking forward the drama or action sequences.With emotions missing , the scenes come and go one after another and viewers are left wondering what was happening. The extreme violence in the marriage looked totally unnecessary and unwanted except for the gory scenes which the director felt would have made an impact on the viewers emotionally.Though the first half had no story, visuals are extravagant and the interval bang covered all the loopholes setting the stage for the second half. However the second half turned out to be extremely slow and all the characters turned unnecessarily loud shouting at the top of their voices. Director included family scenes revolving around children but none of them created an impact. The flashback episode lacked clarity and it is also filled with mindless violence.The climax action episode itself came to more than 30 minutes and the story revolved around it but none of them connected chords with the viewers. Everything goes with loud shouts and intense and senseless action. On top of it, they gave immense torture with irrelevant dialogues on Sanatana Dharma.The background score tuned by Junaid Kumar elevated the scenes to the next level creating the maximum impact. However, at times it turned loud and routine. The cinematography of Soundar Rajan S is top class. The VFX and CGI are of top class most of the time, except in few scenes where they looked pale and substandard.Junaid Kumar - Abhe's songs acted as speed breaks to the narration. Except for the Namo song, others failed to impress and some songs came with in 2-3 minutes gap. Editing left a lot to be desired, especially in the second half. When you’re coming and acting in a Telugu film, understand the work culture there, and maybe respect the culture,”Talking about Raveena Tandon shooting for Viswanath &amp; Sons, he shared “On the last day of the shoot, we were shooting in Ooty. The temperature was around six or seven degrees Celsius. Maybe not a big deal for people from Hyderabad. But for people from Bombay and Chennai, it’s cold. There were only two options: either shoot for 14 hours straight. Or, shoot a portion of the film here, and do the patch somewhere else. Suriya sir was willing to do, and I requested Raveena ma’am. Her manager said, ma’am will be angry. She overheard me, and she shot from 10:30 in the morning to 12:30 at night.”The film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead.
