How injuries are impacting stars and film budgets

Many Tollywood stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Prabhas, NTR, Ram Charan , Varun Tej and more recently Rashmika got injured and received treatment or undergoing treatment for the same.
This is impacting the budget of their upcoming films. A source close to Rashmika shared "Doctors are said to have been surprised by the severity of the injury, noting that such tendon damage is usually seen only in athletes who undergo rigorous physical training. Medical experts have advised Rashmika to take complete rest for six weeks and undergo a structured rehabilitation program to ensure proper healing and regain strength,"
Talking about NTR's injury, the source added, ""The injury has definitely disrupted the production plans and is expected to increase the film's overall cost. The film was originally budgeted at around Rs 350 crore, but the delay could push the cost up by another 10 to 15 percent because of the break in shooting, rescheduling of artists and other production expenses,"
The source shared "The injury has forced director Prashanth Neel to temporarily halt the shooting of Dragon. The team has also cancelled its planned Sri Lanka schedule, where a romantic song featuring Jr NTR and Rukmini Vasanth was to be filmed"
Hemanth Madhukar talking about Ram Charan's injury said "He is now out of the hospital and recovering well," He says "Injuries are part of every actor's career, especially when they perform high-risk action scenes and demanding dance sequences. Shooting breaks inevitably increase production costs, but they are sometimes unavoidable,"
He shares ""Acting is not like a regular government job. Actors constantly push their bodies to the limit through intense action episodes and physically exhausting dance performances. It takes a tremendous toll on their health, and injuries become an occupational hazard,"
The source says "With multiple top stars sidelined by injuries in recent months, Tollywood is once again witnessing how a single accident on set can affect not just an actor's health but also production timelines, release schedules and the financial planning of big-budget films."
