Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan Mourn S Janaki Demise

Legendary playback singer S Janaki passed away in Chennai, leaving Telugu cinema in grief. Known as Janakamma, she recorded over 48,000 songs across languages. Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan paid heartfelt tributes, calling her voice immortal and irreplaceable for generations.

Chiranjeevi recalled countless hits she sang for his films. “Her magical voice gave life to our emotions,” he said. He called her more than a singer, an artist who turned feelings into music. He offered condolences to her family and millions of fans worldwide.

Balakrishna termed it an irreparable loss. He noted Janaki sang for NTR and his own films, sharing a decades-long bond with the Nandamuri family. “Those immortal songs will live forever,” he said, praying for her soul’s peace and strength to her admirers.

Pawan Kalyan hailed her as a gem of Telugu playback. A 4-time National Award and 10-time Nandi winner, she sang 50,000+ songs including
Swathi Muthyam, JVAS, and Anthahpuram. He said her contribution to Indian music will remain unparalleled for future generations.
