Latest Film In Evil Dead Franchise Going Strong At Box Office

Hollywood horror Evil Dead Burn opened to solid numbers despite mixed critic and audience reactions. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, the sixth franchise film is set for the biggest opening weekend in Evil Dead history. Gore, brutal action, and intense visuals are drawing loyal horror fans to theatres.
North American estimates project $22–27 million for opening weekend. In India, it earned ₹3.15 crore net on Day 1 across 3,573 shows with 20.2% occupancy. The English version led with ₹2.15 crore, while Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions also contributed decent collections.
Evil Dead Burn follows a new group who find the Necronomicon, unleashing Deadites. Starring Lucie Zhang, Théophile Renaud, William Nadylam, Dali Benssalah, and Megan Northam, it’s the third standalone after Evil Dead 2013 and Evil Dead Rise 2023, continuing Sam Raimi’s 1981 universe.
Critics praise the gore but note less suspense than earlier entries. Fans still turned out, giving strong buzz. With big releases coming, holding momentum will be key. If weekend numbers hold, Burn could cement itself as another successful chapter in the long-running horror franchise.
