Of late more than the new films, rereleases are doing good business in Tollywood. This week is witnessing the rereleases of Mahesh Babu, Bhumika's Okkadu which is getting good response despite being released multiple times.

Manchu Vishnu's devotional entertainer Kannappa is also releasing this week and it starred Priety Mukundhan as the female lead. Prabhas played a special cameo in the film. Apart from it, Raj Tharun's Cinema Chupista Maava is also releasing. To the top of it, Teja Sajja's film HanuMan is releasing in 3D version.

Bandla Ganesh planned to release Gabbar Singh starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead but he decided against it this week to avoid competition.

"More than 40 recent films have failed to pull audiences to theatres, but re-releases are helping exhibitors stay afloat," says a distributor. "The rush may last only for the first two or three days, but fans of major stars continue to turn up in huge numbers. Some re-releases have even grossed between Rs 8 crore and Rs 10 crore despite a limited theatrical release,"
