Gadar 3 Shooting Starts Next Year Anil Sharma Confirms

Filmmaker Anil Sharma has confirmed that work on Gadar 3 will begin next year. In a recent interview he said the script is in progress and if everything goes well, shooting will start soon. He always believed Gadar Ek Prem Katha had power to become one of India’s biggest films and it became true.

The 2001 film made history with huge footfall and strong box office numbers that are still remembered. For him Mother India, Mughal e Azam and Sholay were inspiration and he tried to make Gadar at that level. Gadar 2 also became a massive success and made new records in 2023. With back to back success, fans are now waiting for the third part.

Anil Sharma said there were no other choices for cast in the first two films. Sunny Deol, Amrish Puri and others fit the story perfectly and same approach will be followed for Gadar 3. He compared the story scale by saying Gadar was a bomb, Gadar 2 was an atom bomb, and he will make Gadar 3 only if he gets a nuclear bomb level story.

Lucknow played a big role in both parts as many scenes were shot there. Local auto drivers and guides still take tourists to film locations. He added that Gadar story is not complete without Lucknow, so the city will be part of the next film too. With script work going on, more details about cast and release date are expected later.
