The postponement of Yash's Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has sparked discussions among fans, especially after it was expected to clash with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 at the box office. However, a close associate of production house KVN Productions has clarified that the decision to push the release date was not taken because of the other film. Instead, the makers are aiming for a much bigger global release strategy, with a pan-world release in mind, not just pan-India.

The film has created a strong market across Asia, including Gulf countries, and releasing it in multiple languages simultaneously will help achieve bigger business. Yash's film has a huge overseas market, which influenced the decision to postpone the release. The insider added that the team is not stepping back because of Dhurandhar 2.

Toxic was initially set to release on March 19, but it's now scheduled for June 4, 2026. Industry experts suggest other factors might have contributed to the delay, such as the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season and ongoing post-production work, including visual effects. The film's large star cast and big scale also mean the makers are taking extra time to ensure the final product meets expectations.

The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, features an ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi. Yash is also involved as a writer and producer, closely monitoring the creative process. With its global ambitions, Toxic is poised to make a big impact when it releases in theatres worldwide on June 4.
