Sukumar Considers Vijay Sethupathi for Ram Charan RC17

Director Sukumar is reportedly planning to bring Vijay Sethupathi on board for a key role in RC17, his upcoming film with Ram Charan. However, the actor’s involvement has not been officially confirmed. If the reports turn out to be true, the film could bring together two popular stars.
Vijay Sethupathi is known for playing different kinds of roles in Tamil and Telugu cinema. His performance as the villain in Uppena received attention from Telugu audiences. He was also linked to Sukumar’s Pushpa earlier, but the proposed collaboration did not happen.
RC17 marks the reunion of Ram Charan and Sukumar after their successful film Rangasthalam. The upcoming project is expected to be mounted on a bigger scale, with reports suggesting that the makers are planning a wide theatrical release in multiple languages. The film’s pooja ceremony is reportedly scheduled for November 1, 2026.
The shooting is expected to begin in December, with Sukumar planning extensive pre production to keep the schedule on track. The makers reportedly aim to complete filming within a year. Another major change concerns the music department, as Anirudh Ravichander is reportedly being considered to replace Devi Sri Prasad after their long association. Neither the casting news nor the reported music change should be treated as confirmed until the makers announce details.
