Tharun Bhascker on Venkatesh Deccan Derby. Tharun Bhascker is currently awaiting the release of his film Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi. Eesha Rebba is the female lead in the film which is directed by AR.Sajeev.

The film is releasing on 30 Jan 2026 and is the remake of Malayalam film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022). During the film's promotions, Tharun Bhascker threw light on his film with Venkatesh which was rumoured to be titled Deccan Derby.

This happened longtime back in 2019. Now speaking about the project, Tharun Bhascker said Deccan Derby was based on a horse racing gambler and though Suresh Babu loved the idea, the project didnot take off. He said the project was put on hold.

He however added that the concept is still relevant, and he is working on the script. He shared that he should work more on the screenplay especially in the second half. He said the project may go to floors either this year or next year and it is all in his hands.
