Rajamouli's project had been finalised as Varanasi, few filmmakers registed their films with the same title. Inside talk is Ramabhakta Hanuma Creations released a letter showing that they hold the Varanasi title rights and it is valid from 24 July 2024-23 July 2025.
The Film Producers Council confirmed the same. Apart from it, another film with the same title Varanasi with Aadi Sai Kumar in the lead already started. The film revolves around Kashi and Sanatana Dharma.
Now, reports are coming that
Rajamouli is yet to register Varanasi title with the Film Chamber. Now that few filmmakers already registered their films after Varanasi,it has to be seen how
Rajamouli will deal with the situation. Earlier during Mahesh Babu-Trivikram's Khaleja, when similar controversy happened, Trivikram named the film as Mahesh Babu's Khaleja.
