Vishal, known as Puratchi Thalapathy, has announced the completion of the grand climax for his debut directorial venture Makutam. Produced by RB Choudhary under the Super Good Films banner its 99th production the film’s story was crafted by Ravi Arasu. The team wrapped the climax after a relentless 17‑day schedule, shooting 6 AM to 6 PM each day. The war like sequence featured hundreds of stunt artists, nearly 800 crew members, and was choreographed by Dilip Subbarayan to international standards. 

A behind‑the‑scenes video released by the makers highlights the raw emotion, visual grandeur, and high‑octane action that promise a never‑before experience for audiences. The production notes reveal the climax was shot in 17 consecutive night shoots, involving 100 stunt performers and a massive technical crew. Vishal shared on X, “Climax Sequence: DONE. 17 days. Non‑stop. High‑voltage action. #Magudam / #Makutam enters its next phase.”

Earlier teasers from Vishal Film Factory had already hinted at the scale, showcasing elaborate stunt choreography and heavy setups. With GV Prakash Kumar scoring the music, Richard M Nathan handling cinematography, NB Srikanth editing, and Durairaj overseeing art direction, the film is poised for a grand release.

Makutam also marks a significant shift for Vishal, who stepped in as director after creative differences with original director Ravi Arasu, citing a personal commitment to the film’s vision. Dubbing has commenced and post‑production is progressing in parallel. The cast includes Dushara Vijayan, Anjali, Thambi Ramaiah, and Arjai, with Dushara already completing her portions. After a major schedule in Ooty, the crew is now wrapping the final leg of shooting at TR Gardens in Chennai.
