TVK chief Vijay on Karur Tragedy. It is known that massive crowd and delay in the meeting of Thalapathy Vijay, chief of TVK, yesterday in Karoor resulted in a tragic death of more than 39 people and many injured.

Politicians from across the country expressed their deep shock and condolences to the affected families. In the meantime, TVK Chief Vijay came up with the emotional statement. Eyewitness revealed “We were there ourselves. Nothing could be done to control the crowd. He (Vijay) had said he would arrive in Karur by 11 am, and everyone was informed about it. But when he came, it was much delayed. We pray that everyone who was injured recovers fully and returns home safely. But beyond that, such incidents must be prevented from happening again."
