He praised Vijay’s intense performance and Rashmika Mandanna’s contribution, congratulating the entire team for bringing a lesser known historical chapter to the screen and wishing the film success ahead of its October 16 release.
Vijay thanked Lokesh, saying the Seema region had given him a lot and that the film was a story he felt he needed to tell. Mythri Movie Makers also expressed gratitude, saying the team had put its heart into the project. When social media users urged Lokesh to notice Garividi Lakshmi, he responded by praising the film’s songs and teaser. He praised her contribution towards folklore songs and stories.
Garividi Lakshmi tells the story of Reddy Vijayalakshmi, a celebrated Uttarandhra Burrakatha artist whose performances helped keep a traditional folk form alive. Despite not being formally educated, she made her village’s name widely known through her art and storytelling. Directed by Gowri Naidu Jammu, the biographical drama stars Anandhi, alongside Rag Mayur, VK Naresh, Raashi and Ankith Koyya. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, with music by Charan Arjun, the film is scheduled to release on October 17, 2026.
