Keeravani father Siva Shakthi Datta passes away. Tragedy struck Oscar winner Keeravani, when his father Siva Shakthi Datta passed away today morning. Siva Shakthi Datta, 92 year old breathed his last today leaving everyone tear struck. He was suffering fom age related health issues.

Siva Shakthi Datta was born as Koduru Subbarao on 8 October 1932 in Rajamundry, Andhra Pradesh and he joined in Arts College in Mumbai as he was fascinated by fine arts. He worked as an artist under the pen name Kamalesh returning to Kovvuru after two years.

He later learnt guitar, sitar and harmonium and went to Madras and along with his brother Vijayendra Prasad entered the film industry. He worked as a screen writer for Janaki Ramudu in 1988.

Siva Shakthi Datta penned lyrics for the hit songs in the films like Baahubali, RRR, Magadheera, Rajanna, and Sri Ramadasu etc. The songs lik“Mamathala Thalli,” “Raamam Raghavam,” and “Nalla Nallani Kalla” captivated all and connected chords touching the emotions of everyone.

Siva Shakthi Datta also directed the film Chandrahas in 2007. Siva Shakthi Datta is survived by Keeravani, Kalyani Malik and Sivasri Kanche and his family members. His final rites will be held today in Hyderabad. Condolences are pouring in from all quarters.
