Did Mahesh Babu reject Ramayana?. Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame is on a mission to tell the Hindu Epic Ramayan in the most grandiose manner on the big screen. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita while Yash is playing the role of Ravan and Sunny Deol playing the role of Lord Hanuman.

The film's title glimpse captured the imagination of all with high end VFX. The film is releasing in two parts, first part on Diwali 2026 and the second part on Diwali 2027.

Inside talk is Nitesh Tiwari first contacted Super Star Mahesh Babu for the role of Lord Ram. However, Mahesh Babu politely rejected the offer as he had already committed himself for his prestigious project SSMB29 with star director Rajamouli. Mahesh was in no position to allocate callsheets for Nitesh Tiwari as he already signed Rajamouli's project.

Nitesh Tiwari also planned to rope in Hrithik Roshan for the role of Ravan. However he couldn't sign the project due to various reasons and one could be creative differences.
