Radhika Apte on Beggar. Puri Jagannath-Vijay Sethupathi's project rumoured to be titled Beggar is generating immense buzz among movie lovers. Rumours spread that the makers roped in talented actors like Duniya Vijay, Radhika Apte, Tabu, Nivetha Thomas and Niharika for important roles. The film is expected to go to sets from June and the makers are scouting for locations in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Even as fans are excited, Radhika Apte came up with the clarification on the project. She said “Oh my God, I didn’t even know this,” and laughed when asked about the reports. “I have no idea about this news and I’m not doing this film. I absolutely have no idea wow. This is so funny.”
Though she rubbished the rumours, she did clarify that she is exploring new and exciting offers. She is now developing a Marathi project. She is expected to direct it and it will feature Vikramaditya Motwane.
She said “There’s a project I’m trying to do with Vikram, something that I can direct. But 'Koyta' is just something we’re discussing — a story — and the news came out, but it is something that we might do,” she clarified. “There’s also another film which I might do. But, at the moment, both these films are quite like, it’s so unclear to even us that I was a bit taken aback by the news coming out like that.”
She is busy with her upcoming film 'Sister Midnight',with Karan Kandhari who is making his debut as director. Talking about the film she said "a very crazy film. A wild ride. It’s strange and unlike anything I’ve done before."
