Vijayawada, Jan 11: Chief Minister K Rosaiah is likely to visit the city on January 27 to participate in a slew of developmental programmes.According to informed sources, a flyover proposed to be built at Benz Circle at an estimated cost of Rs 65 crore to ease traffic congestion is going to be grounded by the Chief Minister. The Civic Corporation would share Rs 35 crore and UDA and National Highway Authorities would chip in Rs 15 crore. Minister for Animal Husbandry K Parthasarathy held a review meeting on Monday with the officials concerned at the Sub-Collector's office.

The Minister asked the officials to hasten the process of preparing estimates and funds availability. He asked them to go for JNNURM funds if they fall short of funds. He advised district collector Piyush Kumar to make arrangements to that effect.Rosaiah's visit, which has been kept postponing due to the political developments has finally been confirmed, it is learnt. The present term of the municipal council would come to an end in September and elections have to be conducted.In this backdrop, the Chief Minister may participate in the inauguration of an IT Park at Gannavaram,  He would also open a housing complex constructed by the Corporation at Gollapudi under JNNURM and foot-overbridge at Krishna Lanka and other programmes to boost the image of Congress party.
