Hyderabad,Dec 1 (INN):Employees of Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ (Tngos) Union,on Tuesday resorted to “pen down” strike in various departments at the Secretariat here in protest  against declaring  Hyderabad as  free zone.Raising “Jai Telangana” slogans from the Secretariat main gate to the D-block, the Tngos’Union members took out a procession. The employees went round  all the departments coercing the other Telangana employees to join the pen down strike.Interacting with  the media, the Tngos’ Secretariat unit president,Mr G Suresh Kumar, appealed  to  the state government to take an initiative to pass a resolution by the Legislative Assembly in removing clause 14(F) of Presidential Order.

It is distressing to  note that the Telangana employees do not have a fair share in all the Heads of Departments (HODs) at the Secretariat,he lamented. The successive governments have violated the Presidential Order against the interests of the Telangana employees,he  observed.Referring to the G O No.610 which was issued in 1986 in order to render justice to the Telangana youths in providing job opportunities has been overlooked.None of the governments have so far taken up this GO seriously, the union leader bemoaned.
