Telugu man is US envoy in Belize

Hyderabad, Sept 15: The happiness of the family members of Vinay K. Tummalapalli knew no bounds when they learnt that he was appointed by President Barrack Obama as the country’s new Ambassador in the central American nation of Belize. Vinay on Tuesday assumed charge as Ambassador of Belize. After taking charge, he said ‘this is a prestege issue and a rare opportunity for a telugu man to be appointed as Ambassador of Central American nation of Belize.Vinay who has shifted to the USA from Hyderabad in 1977 is a mechanical engineer and the proprietor of the MAM-A, a company manufacturing recordable CD-R and DVD-R optical discs in Colorado.

The 51-year-old entrepreneur was married to Barbara and has a son Vishal and daughter Saranya. He studied in California state University and had done a PG course in Business Administration. He was a friend of Obama during his college days. Vinay has collectd over one lakh USD during Obama’s campaign.
