Why sister roles to Sai Pallavi?

Sometime back the makers of Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar offered Sai Pallavi, sister role opposite Chiranjeevi. Sai Pallavi duly and politely rejected it.

Now reports are coming that the makers of Super Star Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas are offering her the sister role. Sai Pallavi according to sources is once again expected to say a polite no. Chiranjeevi during Love Story promotions said that Sai Pallavi did the right thing in rejecting the sister role and expressed his desire to romance her and dance alongside her.

People are of the opinion that the makers are offering Sai Pallavi sister roles opposite top stars as they fear that as the heroine she will dominate them with their performance and dances. One may argue that yesteryear actresses Jamuna and Savitri starred as heroines and sisters opposite legends like NTR and ANR. However those days are gone as in the current generation, even the roles of heroines are confined to just few scenes and one can imagine the plight of the actors who play the role of sisters.
