Rhea Chakraborty Granted Bail By Bombay High Court In Drugs Case

Finally, actress Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. The court had instructed the actress to surrender her passport and furnish a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh. However, her brother Showik Chakraborty's bail has been denied.

Their lawyer Satish Maneshinde in a statement said, "We are delighted by the Order of the Hon'ble Bombay High Court granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Truth and justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal.

The arrest and custody of Rhea was totally unwarranted and beyond the reach of law. The hounding and witch-hunt by three central agencies.. The CBI , ED and NCB of Rhea should come to and end . We remain committed to Truth. Satya Meva Jayate."

Earlier, the judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik had been extended till October 20.

Rhea was arrested by the NCB on September 9, in connection to drugs-related probe that emerged from Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. While Rhea is lodged in Byculla jail, Showik is in Central Taloja jail.
