Reviews Helping These Films And How?

Reviews have a special place in the film industry. When a film releases, Reviews reveal the plus and minus points, performance of the actors, director, cast, and crew. If taken positively, the makers can learn from their mistakes and come up with even better films and this also increases interest among movie lovers. Reviews are just an opinion.

If a film has its own strength, irrespective of the Review, it will do well at box office. There are few films that did not do well at the box office despite positive Reviews. Similarly, the reverse happened when many films which got negative Reviews bucked the trend and performed well at the box office.

Now the question arises as to whether Reviews can change the result of the films. No Reviews can stop the performance of good films at the box office. However, the makers get irritated and tense when their films get negative Reviews. They go on to question the validity of the Reviews. But they are forgetting the fact that one can have their own opinion and express them in public as per the constitution. There is no qualification for it.

A Reviewer does not write a bad Review purposefully. Even if a bad Review comes, people will not stop watching good films. One should remember that people are the ultimate judges. It is a fact that one cannot stop a good film irrespective of negative Reviews. When a new product comes into the market, it is common for people to Review it. Many e-commerce sites are asking consumers to Review the products they buy.

A person who buys a mobile writes a Review on it and just because the Review is negative, one shouldn't be under the impression that people do not purchase that mobile. Similarly, it is not right that a negative Review affects the lives of those in the industry. So Reviews cannot change the result of good films.

Meanwhile, in the times of corona, few films are having direct OTT release. And of course, these films are also being Reviewed. Some are blasting Reviewers, if they give negative feedback. But, they are forgetting the fact that, if their film will not be Reviewed, people don’t even know about small to medium range films. The Reviews indirectly helping these films to get public to know about them.
