Way back in the month of October, 2014, a ghastly storm Hudhud hit the city of Vizag and many other parts of North Andhra and devastated the lives of many. Some people lost their lives while many others lost their properties in the intense havoc.
Telugu film industry, as is known, stands chalk horse in exhibiting compassion and empathy towards the victims of natural calamities and does its best to get the victims bailed out of their woes. In essense, whole industry got the film shoots abruptly halted and made a fund raising event for the flood victims. Subsequently, they collected Rs.15 crores.
As promised to the victims, 320 houses were constructed by the TFI's bigwigs. And now, they have decided to organize an event to donate the houses to the Hudhud victims. Consequently, industry's top filmmakers Suresh Babu, Syam Prasad Reddy, Gemini Kiran, Nallamalupu Bujji and Vallabhaneni Vamsi met AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday evening. They invited the CM to inaugurate the houses.
The CM, right away, gave his nod to turn up the event and is said to have lauded the efforts of TFI for a social casue.
