Taapsee is coming to entertain with Thappad while Alia is coming to entertain with Gangubhai Kathaiwadi. While Thappad makers are confident that good stories will do wonders at the box office irrespective of the presence of male or female stars.

However, trade analysts feel, female-oriented films need to be powered by top male stars. The makers of Gangubhai Kathaiwadi are already tensed as gangster based films did not do well at the box office in recent times. They are now planning to rope in Ajay Devgn in a powerful role.
