It has been over a week since Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy released on a grand scale across the world. Irrespective of the claims of fans and movie lovers, one should talk about the box office figures to know about the final outcome of the film.
The makers claimed the film was made with Rs 300crs budget. They sold the theatrical rights for huge amounts. Now trade analysts are of the opinion that Sye Raa may not reach the breakeven.
The film performed strongly in two Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, but these collections are not enough for a breakeven. It should perform even better.
Already Dasara season is completed and except in two Telugu states and Karnataka, the film's collections failed to reach the expectations. If we look at the overall picture, the film may turn out to be a costly failure.
Another interesting talk is mega-producer Allu Aravind already anticipated Sye Raa situation and so he stayed away from the film. Many are of the opinion that Allu Aravind is one of the few persons who can estimate Chiranjeevi's box office performance in a right manner and he stayed away from Sye Raa as he is aware that it is difficult for Pan India films working for veteran stars.
They say this was the reason why Allu Aravind did not come forward to produce Sye Raa even though he knew that the film is Chiranjeevi's 12 years long-standing dream.
