Will Chiru, Charan Bend Like Prabhas?

Ace director SS Rajamouli’s creation Baahubali let Telugu cinema grow by leaps and bounds. Ever since the Baahubali sensation, Telugu filmmakers are daring to release their films in another languages and releasing films in North is definitely a big achievement for Telugu cinema.

The next big attractions that are hitting the screens this year are young rebel star Prabhas’s Saaho and Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Both the projects are made on grand scale and indeed are home projects for stars of these films.

It is alleged that, Prabhas is a shareholder in UV Creations that produced Saaho. In fact, he charged less pay and is promoting the film like never seen before, since it is his home production.

On the flip side, Chiru’s son Ram Charan bankrolled Sye Raa with Surender Reddy helming it. Like Saaho, Sye Raa is also made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.

T Series acquired Hindi rights of Saaho for a fancy price. Directed by Sujeeth, the high octane action entertainer will grace the theaters in 3 days. Actually, the film was supposed to release for Independence Day.

But, due to obligation from Bollywood producer, makers of Saaho postponed their film to last week of August. Prabhas who is willing to enlarge his market was left with no option other than obliging to the proposal.

Now, as per a grapevine, Farhan Akhtar who is releasing Hindi version of Sye Raa is demanding its makers to postpone their film to other date, since Bollywood’s biggest action entertainer War will be releasing on the same date of October 2nd.

For a film like Sye Raa it needs vast release in all places across the country. But, Yash Raj who is a giant in North market will not leave many theaters for Sye Raa. More importantly, Farhan Akhtar and Co thick it is tough for a south film to fight with a Bollywood film, though Sye Raa features Big B Amitabh Bachchan in a brief role.

Considering all these factors, the Bollywood producers are said to be asking Chiru and Charan to mull over the idea of postponing Sye Raa at least for two weeks. It has to be seen whether the mega star and his son will bend like Prabhas by postponing their film or stick with their original plans.
