Cult(2026) Movie: Artists Review
Vishwak Sen once again made an impact with his swag and mannerisms in the role of the police. He showed non sensical attitude in a realistic way in his body language. He made good impact with his expressions and emotions. His dialogue delivery and punches elevate the scenes. He enacted stunts with ease and with full energy.
Tarak Ponnappa is good in the role of the minister's son. He impressive with his arrogant mannerisms. Murali Sharma is good in the role of the Home Minister and Srikanth Iyengar made his presence felt as the commissioner. Gayatri Bharadwaj is ok with her performance but her role is not that of importance in the film.
Cult(2026) Movie: Technicians Review
Cult story is penned by Vishwak Sen. He tried to thrill viewers with the violent action thriller. However he came up with a routine revenge drama increasing the dosage of violence. Most of the time, the narration is high on action and violence sequences and due to this the story and screenplay went for a toss. The entire first half is loaded with predictable elements and the story picks up pace only after the entry of Vishwak Sen and the games in the party. The interval bang sets the stage for the second half.
The second half is racy with the unraveling of the mystery and blended with action elements. But the flashback turns routine and climax lacks the thrill. The film ends with the lead to the sequel. The story resembles that of Squid Games and though it is new to the Telugu movie lovers on the big screen, those who watches similar films in OTTs find nothing exciting.
The background music of Ravi Basrur elevated many scenes. Aravind Viswanathan's cinematography is good and showed the scenes in a stylish way. The editing of Ravi Teja Girijala is ok. Production values are ok.

Cult(2026) Movie: Rating Analysis
Altogether, Cult turns out to be routine violent action entertainer. Vishwak Sen acted and directed the film. Vishwak Sen drew inspiration of Hollyood films and series like Squid Games. The story turns routine and screenplay turned out to be a mixed back. With the most of the story starting only after more than one hour, viewers get impatient. The weak flashback and climax played the spoilsport.
To the top of it, Vishwak Sen who made an impact as an actor on the screen appears only at the end of the first half, disappointing all. Little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay, doing away with predictable first half and other scenes, things would have been different. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Cult.
