Within two days after finance minister Buggana stated that the government would implement Amma Vodi scheme for only government schools, YSRCP government has taken a U-turn and released a G.O. that read the scheme would be implemented in both the government and private schools.
Though it was said the government released he G.O. just to suppress the agitation from private schools, there is yet another reason cited by some observers. According to them, Amma Vodi scheme will turnout to be a bless in disguise for private schools. They will be shining more than like anything. A big number of government school children will be joining private schools.
Since the income of private schools will be increasing with Amma Vodi, the managements of private schools will offer percentages to ground level politicians to top level key politicians.
On the other hand, there will be no need of DSC teacher recruitment, as the strength of the students in government schools will be decreasing drastically with Amma Vodi implementation to private schools, the number of teachers will also be decreasing drastically. Eventually, the government need not fill the vacancies arose with retirements. In such a way, the government can save the money with Amma Vodi scheme.
However, some more observers are rubbishing above assumptions and made it clear that Amma Vodi is an outstanding welfare scheme to the people.
