It seems ruling YSRCP embroils a few unnecessary controversies which will certainly do no good to the party in the future. As we know, YS Jagan is taking many revolutionary decisions as a CM at the moment.

The government has decided to rename school children's midday meal scheme as 'YSR Akshayapatra'.

"Instead of naming it YSR Akshayapatra, the government should have renamed it as 'Dokka Seethamma Akshayapatra'. Dokka Seethamma, who lived in East Godavari a century ago, used to  show her generous heart offering food donations everyday to the poor in her house. As such, it would have been apt renaming midday scheme adding her name," opined many people.

In the meanwhile, it's being alleged that Akshayapatra was the name of prestigious ISCON Foundation's midday meal scheme and it was copied by AP government to promote YSR's name.

"Since religious issues are also crept in this title, the government should change the scheme's name," suggested an observer to the government.

Midday meal schme is being run with the contribution of state and central governmnet's funds.
