Babu Back To First Love

First love is always alive, says Sudheer Babu who just started preparation for his next film, a biopic on ace Badminton player Pullela Gopichand, former badminton champion and chief national coach. Gopichand was the man behind Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu winning Olympic Medals.

“Back to my first girlfriend #Badminton ... As people say, "First love is always alive"!! Preparation time for #PullelaGopichand,” tweeted Sudheer Babu who will be reprising his bestie in the biopic.

Sudheer Babu was once Gopichand’s double partner and training partner. Before getting into acting, he had attained the No 1 position in state-level badminton, in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

On the other hand, after Prakash Padukone, Gopichand is the only other badminton athlete to have won the All England Open Badminton Championship (2001). Gopichand later established the Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad to discover many badminton players to flourish in the sport.

Praveen Sattaru will be wielding the megaphone for the film that will go on floors soon.
