Young Heroes Say No To YS Jagan

Biopics are minimum guaranteed because they are made based on the life stories of popular faces. In Tollywood, good number of biopics are under pre-production and production stages. While Savitri’s biopic Mahanati is gearing up for release on May 9th, NTR’s life story Jai NTR that will have Balakrishna in lead role will kick start soon.

Freshly, a film on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been announced. However, unlike other biopics, this movie titled “Yatra” will focus only on how Padayatra helped YS Rajasekhar Reddy to become chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh. Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma will helm the project to be made on good budget.

When no star hero from Tollywood was ready to play the role of Rajasekhar Reddy, makers have approached Malayalam superstar Mammootty who immediately gave his nod after listening to the script. 

Then, the biggest problem they are facing right now is to find the actor to portray YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Rajasekhar Reddy and chief of YSR Congress Party. It is heard that, young heroes like Nani, Sharwanand and few others were offered the role. Nonetheless, none is daring to be part of the film as they feel it will send wrong signals and may bring troubles to their career.

A per insiders, makers of “Yatra” are planning to rope in a foreign state artist to play Jagan Mohan Reddy. Meanwhile, they are also in search to find right artist to play Vijayamma, Rajasekhar Reddy’s wife in the movie.
