Weekend Report: Tamil Dominates Telugu!

This weekend witnessed the releases of four interesting films in Telugu states. Firstly, Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster Mersal's Telugu version Adirindhi hit the screens on Thursday.  Bringing laurels to the team, the film opened with positive reports and good collections. Reports say the film has already minted Rs.3 crores share in Telugu states for three days. The film is reported to have been performing well this Sunday as well. 

Sundeep Kishan's C/O Surya, hero Vishal's Detective and Manchu Manoj's Okkadu Migiladu were released on Friday. Telugu-Tamil bilingual C/O Surya registered decent numbers on the opening day. Vishal's Telugu dubbed film Detective is also getting satisfactory collections. 

Manchu Manoj's Okkadu Migiladu, however, became the one and only straight Telugu film which got released this weekend. Unfortunately, this is the only film which received negative reports on the first day. There has been a drastic dip in collections recorded on day two. 

To sum up, Adirindhi stands as the winner of this weekend while C/O Surya and Detective proved to be average ventures while Okkadu Migiladu may get disaster result. All in all, Tamil Films appeared to have dominated Telugu films this weekend. Yet, exact box office status of all the films will be known by next weekend.
