SS Rajamouli's clocked Rs.500 crores gross at the global level some time ago. The movie proved the stamina of Telugu directors and technicians in terms of spinning money at various box offices.

Even then, 'Baahbali' could not be considered as a classic by critics and analysts. But why? There are many reasons the movie has not occupied a slot among the all time classics and master pieces like 'Maya Bazar, 'Lavakusha', 'Alluri Seetharamaraju', 'Shankarabharanam', 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari', 'Magadheera' etc.

Incidentally, Rajamouli's dad, Vijayendra Prasad, himself, admitted in one of his interviews that 'Baahubali' was abruptly ended. Moreover, the attitudes of no character was flaunted in a holistic approach. Songs of the movie were good, but not great unlike other classics mentioned above. 'Sivudu' character speaks a typical village slang in the beginning but it gets changed later and the character speaks in a sophisticated manner with fully refined language. Moreover, hero's character is dominated by some other characters in the movie. Above all, the movie could not be talked about by the people for a long time unlike other classics.

But then why had the movie scored a runaway success? The genre chosen by Rajamouli, was touched by no filmmaker of recent times. And the promotional strategies have gone overboard with the hundred percent support of media. Apart from that huge money was pumped in for this movie making.
