Kanika Dhillon penned the story for the film.Now, it is coming out that Gandhari landed in copy right controversy. Kalyan Bandi, an IIT Madras alumnus who works as an Inspector with Central GST and Customs, claims he had written and registered a story titled Gandhari in 2019, built around a similar core of a mother who takes on the avatar of a fierce goddess as she finds herself caught up in a child-trafficking racket.Bandi says that despite sending the legal notice in September 2025, the matter remained unanswered and never reached court.He added &nbsp;“I don’t even want money. Just say thank you and acknowledge that it was my idea,” he said, adding, "I’ll be very happy if they can prove to me that this is not my story."Kanika Dhillon’s production house Kathha Pictures denied all these allegations and issued a statement.“Our attention has been drawn to allegations circulating on social media and in certain publications to the effect that our forthcoming film Gandhari copies another person’s concept and uses that person’s title. The interval bang is done well turning the first half into a decent one. The second half continues in the same manner, and the screenplay and narration goes in a smooth and sedate manner.However for all the positives, the director after highlighting the conflict point and establishing it quite well, ends the film in a flat manner, disappointing all.The cinematography of SVK showed the Hyderabad old city vibes in a natural and realistic way. He used the camera angles to perfection and showed the nightlife and also the day hustles quite well and in an effective manner.The background score of Smaran Sai is good and complemented the proceedings, adding value to the narration. However, in between, he loses steam, but still, the first half ends on a decent note, setting the tone for the second half.He continues in the same manner in the second half but adds a few more intense emotional elements. A couple of twists generate interest, surprising all. The twists come as a surprise in a rather predictable story, and the flat narration, especially in the second half. Many expected things to change after Vishal who was seen as a honest and innocent medical representive gets trageted. But nothing of that sorts happen and the entry of other Vishal character is expected to change the proceedings at least in the second half. However, the narration nosedives in the second half to a new low. The scenes featuring Vishal, Dushara Vijayan lack the emotional connect and looks mundane and the so called comedy with Thambi Ramaiah doesn't work.Things doesn't change in the second half and the so called flashback episode which is expected to take the film to next level is dragged to the core testing the patience of the viewers. The chemistry between Vishal and Anjali looked odd on screen and to the irritation of viewers, the pre climax and climax is dragged to the next level leaving people wonder when the film will end. She showed good expressions , dialogue delivery and intensity and made an impact with her screen presence. But at times, she looked odd on the screen especially in the close shots.Ulka Gupta performed well in her role. She played the pivotal character and emoted well on the screen. Shravan Reddy played a good role and showed variations in different roles with his dialogue delivery, expressions and mannerisms. Jovika Vijaykumar made an impact in the role of a girl who gets possessed by evil spirit. He tried to thrill viewers with a horror thriller with spiritual elements. The entire first half is narrated in an interesting manner maintaining the suspense and unraveling the twists in an apt manner. The first half narration is decent and the screenplay is intact and racy keeping the interest levels of the viewers quite high setting the tone for the second half.However, MS.Raju loses plot in the second half with convenient screenplay. Instead of the protagonist unraveling the mystery of Agadha, other characters reveal everything to her, leaving nothing for her to do, thus diluting the over all impact. To the top of it, repetitive scenes impacted the flow of the narration. However, he generates interest in the runup to the climax before ending it in a decent manner.Nani Chamidisetty with his cinematography created the desired impact. He showed the scenes in an impactful manner using the color combinations and camera angles perfectly. The VFX and Graphics are of good quality. They could have however taken more care regarding the graphics. Art department could have done a better job as artificiality crept in the sets. The music of &nbsp;Rakesh Venkatapuram is good. He made a powerful impact with his background score elevating the scenes to the next level. Editing of Junaid Siddique is good in the first half but could have been far better in the second half. There are few interesting scenes but with better screenplay, things would have become more interesting.The cinematography of Nagesh Banell is good. He showed the scenes in a visually appealing manner. The music of Tejaswi Poornachandra is good. The background score of Saumit Deshmukh is good and added value to the narration. Arun Matheswaran did not deviate from the subject and even drag the romantic and love tracks with unnecessary lip locks, hugs and songs.Though even few romantic scenes slowed the pace of the film, he ensured that he quicky shifted to action genre to keep viewers interest glued. The first half ends on a decent note with the cat and mouse game between the cops and the rebels. The second half continues in the same way with the introduction of new characters and the pre climax connects chords with all with the film finally ending on a predictable note. The predictability in the story, illogical scenes and few boring elements undid all the hard work.The cinematography of Mukesh is good. He showed the period look in the story in a appealing and relatable manner. Anirudh Ravichander's tunes for the songs are just ok. The songs had a montage touch. But he elevated the scenes with his unique and terrific background score. He showed variety in the background music. He showed his creativity by scoring background in a poetic manner. Prasanna. GK's editing is quite fine but at times there are few repetitive elements. After the introduction of protagonist in a typical mass way &nbsp;he shows the heroine. The narration treads in a familiar trope and screenplay assumes a routine flavor. To the top of it, the over usage of Korean language puts off the viewers. The interval sequence and the possession of the spirit excites all, setting the tone for the second half.The second half's gangster role is dragged to the core. While few comedy scenes involving Varun Tej and Satya evoked laughter, others looked forced. The climax takes everyone by surprise and though looked different didn't leave the desired impact. The story ends in a funny way with the lead to the sequel.Thaman's music offered nothing new. The songs are few and didn't make much impact. Thaman's background music followed the same template. He however with the background music elevated the scenes. Manojh Reddy with his Cinematography showed the scenes in a realistic way. CGI and VFX looked subpar. The series comes with 7 episodes and each episode has the duration of 25-35 minutes. Many gripping courtroom dramas like Amitabh Bachchan's Pink and its remake Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab came. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. Many characters and their relations are not established properly and also there are many illogical scenes and convenient episodes.The background score of Anil Chiluvuru is good. But once again the Samuthirakhani character puts off all initially with the weak role. The second half screenplay turns out to be racy and director decided to concentrate on main plot rather than spend time on unnecessary comedy scenes. The twists and the climax take the film to the next level.Kushender Ramesh Reddy with his cinematography added value to the narration. He with his camera angles got the desired impact on the screen. Prince Mahesh Babu's '1-Nenokkadine' movie's rights have reportedly been sold out to Rs.4 crores to 'S Creations' for Guntur area on NRA basis. Earlier, NTR's 'Baadshah's rights were also sold out to Rs.4 crores while Pawan Kalyan's 'Athrintiki Daredi' were sold out to Rs.4.05 crores in this area.
