Tollywood top director Rajamouli is creating tremors at the South Indian box office with his latest magnum opus 'Eega'.  The movie has received humongous response from the audiences on day one. With this movie, Rajamouli is being compared with South Indian top director Shankar. Incidentally, some years ago, Shankar also directed a science fiction graphics based movie 'Robo'. The budget of that movie exceeded to Rs.100 crores. Despite its huge budget and the presence of a very big star like Rajnikanth, the movie could do just mediocre business in entire India, except in A.P.,where the movie recorded the super hit result.

Comparing with 'Robo' and other technically proved movies of Shankar, Rajamouli's 'Eega' was made with a shoe string budget of Rs.30 crores. Apart from this, the movie has no star hero in it. Even then, the movie received wonderful openings everywhere. "So, why cant't we say Rajamouli surpassed Shankar as a director?", is a question posed by Jakkanna's admirers. It is a known thing that Shankar gave some flop movies like 'Snehithudu', 'Boys' etc. On the other hand, Rajamouli's is continuing his track record as 'No flop director'. Meanwhile, we still have to wait for some more days to know the clear picture of the status of 'Eega'.
