Are these the surprises in Varanasi. Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu's Varanasi is progressing in full swing. Expectations are high on the project as it is the first collaboration between Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu and also Rajamouli's first after the sensation he created with his magnum opus RRR.

The film stars Priyanka Chopra as the female lead while Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing an important role. Now inside talk is the film has a role that is inspired by Lord Hanuman. Sources say Madhavan is playing this role and the makers already shot few scenes on Madhavan.

Now the question is Madhavan playing the role of Lord Hanuman and whether he will suit for the role. Apart from it ,the makers planned to rope in Nana Patekar for the role of Mahesh Babu's father. Sources say with Nana Patekar opting out the makers are considering another actor. Inside talk is apart from Priyanka Chopra, Rajamouli is planning to rope in another international actress for an important role in the film.

The film's music is tuned by Keeravani and it is slated for release during 2027.
