Vijay LEO faces opposition in Srilanka

Srilankan Tamil MPs against LEO.Amidst the fervent anticipation of Thalapathy Vijay's film "LEO" slated for release on October 19, 2023, worldwide, the filmmakers find themselves entangled in a web of challenges.

The initial hurdle came when the makers were denied permission for early morning shows in Tamil Nadu. And before they could resolve this issue, a jolt awaited the Telugu version of the film as a court deferred its release to October 20.

Adding to the complexities, a group of Tamil Members of Parliament from Sri Lanka has penned a letter to Vijay, beseeching him to reconsider the film's release date. They have planned a protest on October 20, and they fear that the release of the film on October 19 may undermine their efforts to champion the rights of Tamil people in their country.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, "LEO" boasts a star-studded cast including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand in pivotal roles.
